The groundbreaking documentary Naza was co-directed by Yuval Abraham and Rachel Szor, acclaimed Israeli authors and Oscar winners for their previous work. Filmed secretly at night on the rooftops of Tel Aviv, the documentary reveals in detail the complex military systems and artificial intelligence protocols behind the calculated mass killings of Palestinian civilians in Gaza through extensive journalistic research and testimony from 24 insiders from the Israeli military and intelligence services. The title itself derives from the Hebrew military acronym nezek agavi, which translates to a cold bureaucratic term for “collateral damage.” With this work, the authors not only want to depict individual attacks, but to strip away the technological and social structure that automates warfare and completely dehumanizes human lives. The film premiered at the prestigious Venice Film Festival, where it was awarded the Special Jury Award and the screening itself was accompanied by an almost half-hour standing ovation (the longest in the festival's history). Although faced with harsh political condemnations and pressure from the authorities at home, this British co-production project achieved huge global success in cinemas and imposed itself as an indispensable testimony of our time. ticket enquiries at the Art-kino box office (opens every day an hour before the start of the first screening) or via the CoreEvent platform.
