Action drama, disaster movie incorporating the fates of bus passengers and truck driver drama. These two vehicles will collide on the highway on a rainy night and only a fraction of bus passengers will survive in the accident. H-8 is all that is known about the vehicle that caused the accident; only part of the license plate. A major traffic accident caused by the owner of a passenger car, with witnesses remembering only the initial signs of the license plate H-8 after his escape, has long occupied the Yugoslav public. Zvonimir Berković, Tomislav Butorac and Nikola Tanhofer designed the story according to that event, paying attention to the authenticity of the details of the accident, but creating completely fictional characters of the passengers. The result is a Croatian film classic, which, like Golik's Who Sings Does Not Mean Evil, is equally adored by the audience and critics, who in a poll in 2020 declared this film the best Croatian film of all time. In addition to the great acting of prominent Yugoslav actors and meticulously profiled characters of ordinary "little" people, the most praised is the virtuoso direction of Nikola Tanhofer dynamically realized in the cramped spaces of buses and trucks (with shorter scenes in the exterior before leaving on the road and during rest on the road).
