Jesi li snimio ovo?

As part of the Film izvan okvira programme, presented by Art-kino’s Special Film Library, the cinema will host the presentation of a new book by filmmakers and friends Rajko Grlić and Goran Marinković, Jesi li snimio ovo? (Did You Film This?), on September 24. The book is an intimate and sharp correspondence about film, friendship, politics, wars, ageing, and memories that outlive states and regimes. Following the book presentation, the evening will continue with a screening of the cult, Oscar-winning Czechoslovak film The Shop on Main Street by Ján Kadár and Elmar Klos. Through their meticulous exploration of the characters’ psychology and the protagonist’s sense of guilt, the directors masterfully portray the dilemma of the “little man” while bringing to life the era and atmosphere of “everyday fascism.” Manhattan Short 2026 Tickets can be purchased at the Art-kino box office (open every day from one hour before the start of the first screening) or via the CoreEvent platform.
