The final installment of the trilogy that Nicolas Philibert began with On the Adamant (winner of the Golden Bear at the 2023 Berlin International Film Festival) and continued with Averroès & Rosa Parks is arguably the most intimate and moving of the three films. Delving into the world of a Parisian psychiatric care center, the filmmaker follows resourceful caregivers as they help patients suddenly confronted with everyday household problems — such as a broken appliance. Although present behind the camera, Philibert remains an unobtrusive observer, allowing events to unfold naturally.
