Slon Pastry Shop by Moreno Debartoli opened in December 2019 in the heart of Rijeka’s Old Town, right next to the Cathedral of St. Vid. Inspired by the first chocolate factory in the Balkans, our mission is to bring back the former glory of “Slon” to Rijeka and offer the highest-quality products for which it was once renowned. All of our products are made in the workshop located within the pastry shop. In the morning, our guests can enjoy the aromas of freshly baked croissants and quiches, accompanied by the scent of freshly ground coffee. Our desserts are made with 100% natural ingredients, without additives or artificial colorings. Our desserts and chocolate products are made using the finest Belgian chocolate, certified with the seal of the Belgian royal family. Our chef, Moreno Debartoli, is a Chocolate Ambassador for the Callebaut brand, one of the world’s largest chocolate producers, guaranteeing exceptional products and access to the latest innovations in the world of chocolate.
