Štriguni

In a laboratory beneath an old Istrian town, young biologist Boris is researching how to prolong human life, while the disappearance of a boy disturbs the local community. When he joins the search, he begins to hear stories about the štriguni, mythical creatures that are said to kidnap children, differently. In the new Croatian horror film "Štriguni", screenwriter and director Aldo Tardozzi confronts modern genetics with Istrian folk beliefs, and scientific explanations become an increasingly uncertain support for Boris.
