Marko Smole: Dolina gornje Kupe i Čabranke u starim novinama

Marko Smole researched in old newspapers what was written about places and people on both sides of the upper Kupa and Čabranka valleys, all the way to Čabar. His new book “The Upper Kupa and Čabranka Valley in Old Newspapers” covers about a hundred years of newspaper records, almost from the beginnings of daily newspapers until World War II. “Some interesting things were sent in by the locals themselves, while journalists only took an interest in areas that were always on the fringes of public interest on rare occasions,” the author writes.
