Krasopis 2026.

Calligraphy explores karst through art, science and the experiences of the people who inhabit and protect it. The fifth edition combines exhibitions and literary discussions with a trip to Bribir and Grižane, a concert by the Teofilović brothers and lectures on plants, underground rivers and groundwater. Part of the program is dedicated to Ivan Illich, on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of his birth, and the festival ends with a discussion on what the Dinaric Karst needs. Event information Friday, October 23: Life and Knowledge • 17:00 – Opening of Matko Kezele’s exhibition “Pieces of Landscape”. Participants: Matko Kezele, Anne-Kathrin Godec and Ivo Lučić. • 18:00 – Discussion: “Living and Creating with Karst – Art as a Tool for Respecting, Admiring and Understanding the Landscape”. Participants: Matko Kezele, Radiša and Ratko Teofilović, Hrvoje Jurić, Mladen Blažević, Anne-Kathrin Godec and Ivo Lučić. • 19:00 – Dinner for festival participants. • 20:00 – Mladen Blažević and Anne-Kathrin Godec discuss his novel “Arrhythmia of the Earth”. Followed by a socializing with the author. Saturday, October 24: Lectures and excursion • 09:00 – Predrag Slijepčević: “Biocivilizations”, lecture and discussion in the seminar house. • 10:00 – “Traces of Knowledge”, excursion to Bribir and Grižane.
