How much are we willing to risk to be accepted? Entitled “Cartography of Conflict”, the 2026 Festival of Empathy explores the different forms of conflict that shape contemporary life. We are interested in how conflicts arise, who has the power to define them, how they are transmitted between generations, and how they affect our individual and collective identities. What happens when, instead of taking sides quickly, we try to understand the terrain on which the conflict arises? 🎬 LARS IS LOL 📅 Saturday, 24 october at 10am HKD 📍 Atrium The Norwegian family drama follows 11-year-old Amanda, who is tasked with helping a new student named Lars, a boy with Down syndrome. Their friendship is gradually evolving, but peer pressure and a desire for acceptance leave Amanda with a difficult choice. When he betrays Lars' trust, he must face the consequences of his own actions. Through a warm and accessible story, the film opens up important topics of peer pressure, acceptance of diversity, exclusion, and the power of true friendship, reminding us how much empathy means in everyday relationships. 🎟️ Admission is free!
