On 26 October at 8 pm, the Croatian Theatre Association will host a new theatre performance by the art organization Arterarij entitled Beautiful Interiors: Zagreb, with two acting divas of our area – Alma Prica and Dragana Varagić. The performance will take place in one of HKD's practice halls, on the 5th floor. Beautiful interiors: Zagreb brings a powerful and touching theatrical story, created according to the dramatic text of Monika Herceg and the author's team and inspired by the conceptual concept by Mario Mažić. Directed by Roman Nikolić, and with the dramaturgy of Dorothea Šušak and Roman Nikolić, the meeting of two women distinguished by their ethnic, religious and family reality is born, dissolved and summarized in front of us, but they are united by an unconditional need for encounter, security and humanity. The play Beautiful Interiors: Zagreb thematically deals with emotionally demanding issues of war evictions, return to places of suffering and violent emigration during the war years in Zagreb. Following the diversity of historical frameworks and social changes, the narrative of the play invites us to witness, but also to resist the silence that has been guarded by the walls of our life and affective interiors for decades. The play invites us to the awareness that we are also a potential prevention of someone's new pain today – if we choose to be. It invites us to be louder than silence, more present than giving up and stronger than social and intimate pain…
