The Mythos exhibition presents a collection of works inspired by the theme of mythology. Wonderful motifs, powerful historical themes, legends, and mythological subjects are brought to life through various artistic techniques, including oil paints, acrylic and alcohol markers, pencils, and digital art, using surfaces such as canvas, wood, and MDF. The works in the exhibition draw on myths and legends from around the world, exploring themes from Egypt, Japan, Ireland, Greece, and beyond. Through the exhibited works, we see the artist’s personal interpretation of particular mythologies and legends, through which these concepts and motifs are presented in a surreal and stylized manner. Each story is told through a subjective view, a personal perspective, and a variation on a specific myth, demonstrating that the way the past is transformed lies entirely in the hands of the person telling its story. About the Artist Lea Labrović Roman was born in Rijeka on November 19, 1997. She graduated from a secondary school specializing in graphic design in 2016 and then enrolled at the Academy of Applied Arts in Rijeka, where she completed both her undergraduate and graduate studies in painting. She is currently completing a postgraduate specialist program in art therapy in Osijek. In 2020, she held her first solo exhibition, Kriptomnezija.
