A woman steps onto the stage with an unusual tic and asks the audience: “What makes me different from an animal?” Through a world steeped in magical surrealism, where lamps come to life and women resemble animals, we explore history from the perspective of a subject who does not belong to the dominant group, searching for an answer to this question and for the key to the very essence of humanity. Why live this way if we could live differently? “La Donna Lampada” is not an attempt to romanticize imagination, but rather an exploration of it as a social and collective practice that carries the power of rebellion – a force that allows us to rewrite history as we wish to see it and move towards a more sustainable future.
