Mentalfest 2026: Real Voices, Real Change On Thursday, October 8, the Rijeka City Library will host part of this year’s Mentalfest programme under the theme “Personal Experiences That Are Heard: Real Voices, Real Change.” Mental Health Festival (October 5–9), organized by the Turnić Residential Care Home for Adults, is traditionally held in October to mark World Mental Health Day (October 10). With the main goal of reducing the stigma surrounding people experiencing mental health difficulties, this year’s festival features a wide range of events, including programmes taking place at the Rijeka City Library. The Narrative Group is regularly held at Turnić and is intended for people with lived experience of mental health challenges. As part of Mentalfest, this special meeting invites the wider community to become part of a shared story. Everyone carries their own story—of experiences, challenges, relationships, strengths, and possibilities.
