Tom Jay all night long SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 26, 10 PM – 4 AM Tom Jay is an artist who needs no special introduction to lovers of electronic music, although a few things are worth mentioning for younger generations. Tom began his career in the punk rock band Gipss in the early 1990s, but in 1995 he discovered a new sound and turned toward rave culture and electronic music. Over the course of a career spanning more than 30 years, Tom has developed his own distinctive style — a fusion of techno, trance, Goa, and ambient music that brings people together, both with each other and with the space around them. His work also includes the radio show “After Midnight” on Rijeka’s SVID Radio, as well as “Retro Elektro”, a live radio show he created together with creative people from RiTV. In 2005, DJ Rosho and Tom formed the duo Underground Sky. The project achieved notable success, including winning a Porin Award for Best Club Music Producers for the Putokazi project Androida, as well as opening for Faithless in Zagreb. Tom’s career also includes residencies at all editions of the Valkana Beach Festival, as well as at clubs such as Fort Bourguignon, Quorum Colors, and Fun Academy.
