TranziT #7: Vulture / Bunker / Il pleut, il plaint, il rage The seventh edition of the European festival of contemporary performing arts TranziT arrives in Rijeka with a dance triptych featuring three internationally acclaimed artists – Ching-Ying Chieng, Rebecca Margolick and Charles Brecard. Through three powerful solos, the works explore freedom, control, the female body, resistance, rage and the desire for liberation. Vulture by Ching-Ying Chieng is inspired by a Tibetan myth about a vulture that flies towards the Sun at the end of its life. Combining dance with live music, the piece explores the boundaries of the human body, freedom and transformation between human and animal. Bunker by Rebecca Margolick examines the pressures placed on the female body across generations. Through grounded and rhythmic movement, the artist connects personal experiences with the shared history of Jewish women who immigrated from Eastern Europe. Il pleut, il plaint, il rage by Charles Brecard explores anger and powerlessness in the face of contemporary challenges and oppressive systems. Intimate and symbolic, the solo becomes a form of catharsis – a cry of the body confronted with the absurdity of the world. 📅 September 29, 2026 ⏰ 8:00 PM 📍 Croatian Cultural Centre on Sušak – Main Hall 🎭 Dance triptych 🎟️ Tickets: More information coming soon
