Denise Dantas Trio @ Summer on Kantrida Brazilian rhythms and Mediterranean sensibility will come together on Thursday, August 27 at Morsko Prase, Kantrida, as part of the Summer on Kantrida program. The concert begins at 9:00 PM, and admission is free. Denise Dantas, a singer and actress originally from the Brazilian state of Bahia, began her musical career in the 1980s in the clubs of Feira de Santana. Over the years, she has developed a distinctive style that blends Brazilian musical traditions—from samba and bossa nova to jazz, Mediterranean influences, and world music. Throughout her career in Brazil, she has collaborated with renowned artists including Gerônimo, Vevé Calazans, Saul Barbosa, Tonho Matéria, Paulinho Boca de Cantor, and Fred Dantas. Alongside music, she has also worked in radio and television. Since 2004, she has lived between Italy and Slovenia, performing with musicians from across Europe. For this special Kantrida performance, she will be joined by guitarists Egon Boštjančič and renowned Rijeka jazz guitarist, multi-instrumentalist, and composer Zoran Majstorović. Together, the trio creates an intimate musical atmosphere built around Brazilian rhythms, improvisation, and the expressive dialogue between two guitars and Denise Dantas' captivating vocals.
