THIS (IS NOT) OUR CITY Pontes Drama Studio “This (Is Not) Our City” is a performance by the high school group of Pontes Drama Studio, inspired by Bertolt Brecht’s iconic work “The Threepenny Opera”. The play follows a group of characters living on the margins of society, whose lives become intertwined with those representing law, authority, and power. Through their relationships, the performance explores the blurred boundaries between criminals and those in positions of power, questioning who creates the rules and who uses them for personal gain. A love story sets off a series of conflicts between families, the criminal underworld, and representatives of the law. Alliances are created and broken according to interest, while loyalty, justice, and freedom become values that can be traded.
