♟️ 55th Chess Tournament | 25.08. at 7 PM | Youth Club Rijeka ℹ️ The tournament will be played using the Swiss system, where each player will have 10 minutes per game with a 5-second increment. The tournament is limited to amateur players. Players who actively train and are considered non-amateurs are not allowed to participate. It is also strictly forbidden for anyone ranked above 2000 on the national rating list to participate. ℹ️ A short guide to the Swiss system: Two players can face each other only once during the entire tournament. In each round, players are matched with opponents who have the closest possible score on the leaderboard. After each round, players must have an equal number of games played with both the white and black pieces. The number of participants is limited to 40 players. 🎟️ Entry fee: €8 Registration is considered complete only after the entry fee has been paid at Youth Club Rijeka. Payments can be made from now until 15 minutes before the start of the tournament. Our advice: don’t wait until the last minute – spots may fill up quickly 😉 🏆 PRIZE FUND: 🥇 1st place: 55% of the entry fees + Pelinkovac by Maraska + 50% discount on ALL pancakes at SWEET HOUSE 🥈 2nd place: 30% of the entry fees + a club cocktail of your choice 🥉 3rd place: 15% of the entry fees + Nutella milkshake …and many more prizes! :)
