🎭 Make Hrvatska Great Again is a topical comedy by Ri Teatar that uses humour and satire to explore one of the most discussed social issues in Croatia in recent years – the possible return of mandatory military service. Set on a small Adriatic island, the play follows two neighbouring families with completely different backgrounds and worldviews. One represents traditional island life, while the other comes from the city, bringing different values, habits, and perspectives. As mothers Marta and Danica defend their own beliefs, their sons Jerko and Neo represent two opposing lifestyles – tradition, hard work, and rural roots versus modern city life, discipline, and new ideas.
