Pul Kaštela 2026.

As part of the Summer at Gradina programme, on Sunday, 5 July, the unique setting beneath the walls of Trsat Castle will once again transform into a large open-air art gallery. The traditional international painting event Pul Kaštela, now being held for the 34th time, will bring together artists, art enthusiasts, and numerous visitors in the historic centre of Trsat. The event gathers academic artists, amateur painters, artisans, and producers of eco-friendly products from Croatia and abroad. The exhibition area will extend from Frankopan Square, through Petra Zrinskog Street and Nugent Park, all the way to Trsat Castle. The programme begins at 12:00 PM and continues throughout the day. Artists from Croatia and abroad aged 16 and over are welcome to participate by registering at the organisers' information desk between 9:00 AM and 12:00 PM on the day of the event. A special competition for the best children's artwork will also be held. Children up to the age of 15 are eligible to participate, and their works, along with those of the adult participants, will be evaluated by a professional jury, which will visit the exhibition locations between 12:00 PM and 6:00 PM. The expert jury, consisting of Ivan Tomečak, Svjetlana Šalić, and Mihajlo Uzelac, will present two awards in each of the Pul Kaštela 26 and Ex Tempore categories, as well as the Mali Pul Kaštela 26 award for the best children's artwork.
