Venue: Dječja kuća, Viktora Cara Emina 1, 51000 Rijeka

Category: Workshops · Free entry

**Children’s House, 11:00 AM – 12:30 PM** **Facilitator: Tea Vehovec** **Registration via the link.** This workshop is designed to support parents in discussing an important and sensitive topic—menstruation. Together, we will explore questions such as: when is the right time to start the conversation, how to begin it, and what is important to communicate so that girls can approach this life change feeling informed, confident, and supported. We will also discuss topics such as health care, the impact of technology, and social changes. We will talk about what to do if a girl avoids the topic, how to recognize her needs, and how to build a relationship in which she feels comfortable asking questions and sharing her experiences. The workshop is intended for mothers, fathers, and anyone caring for girls who wishes to support them throughout their development and growing up. Tea Vehovec graduated in Psychology from the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences in Rijeka, where she developed a particular interest in working with children and adolescents. She continuously pursues professional development in the fields of child and adolescent psychology and cognitive-behavioural therapy. She lives and works in Rijeka, focusing on strengthening emotional, communication, and social skills while providing support to children, young people, and their families. Participation is free of charge, and registration via the link will be available soon.
