Pasta from Vodovodna 13 workshop Venue: Sugar Palace (Palača šećera) Time: Thursday, 23 July at 18:00 Organizer: City Museum of Rijeka Facilitators: Daniela Torjan and Josipa Verbanac Audience: youth, adults Registration: via the form here https://forms.office.com/pages/responsepage.aspx?id=DQSIkWdsW0yxEjajBLZtrQAAAAAAAAAAAAN__jTW0PtUOEFQRjdMNDQ5UU9ERzhQVkU2MVQ2U0JWTi4u&route=shorturl In Vodovodna Street, more than a hundred years ago, steam-powered machines rolled and cut pasta for the entire city. The Cartesio, Curti & Co. factory was part of Rijeka’s industrial boom, and its building was designed by the well-known Rijeka architect Emilio Ambrosini. Today the machines are gone, but at the City Museum of Rijeka the pasta comes alive again — by hand, with plenty of laughter and flour-covered fingers. In this workshop, participants learn the story of Rijeka’s pasta factory, followed by a hands-on experience of pasta fatta a mano. Participants make their own fresh pasta, connecting history with creative practice. A little history, a little flour, and a lot of fun — along with a surprise guest who will add a special charm and extra inspiration to the workshop.
