Edo Popović (b. 1957, Livno) moved with his family to Zagreb in 1968. He studied at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences in Zagreb, where he majored in Comparative Literature and completed studies in Croatian language and Yugoslav literature, before leaving university. His novels and short story collections have been translated into around ten languages. As an editor in publishing houses such as SysPrint, Naklada Ljevak, and OceanMore, he has edited around fifty titles of translated prose, essays, and non-fiction, as well as works by Croatian authors. He is the author of numerous books, including U Velebitu (2013), Ponoćni boogie i druge priče (2012), Lomljenje vjetra (2011), Priručnik za hodače (2009), Oči (2007), Tetovirane priče (2006, with illustrator Igor Hofbauer), Igrači (2006), Dečko, dama, kreten, drot (2005), Plesačica iz Blue Bara (2004), Izlaz Zagreb jug (2003), Koncert za tequilu i apaurin (2002), Kameni pas (2001), San žutih zmija (2000), and Ponoćni boogie (1987).
