The vibe of this workshop will be slow: a space to relax, work with your hands, explore interesting materials, and simply enjoy the season. Across different cultures, we find objects meant to attract good energy and invite luck. Through conversation and hands-on work with unusual natural materials, participants will explore how personal talismans are created — objects we assign meaning to — and then, guided by Daniela Torjan, will create their own “srećonoša” (lucky charm) for the summer. Participants are invited to bring a small personal object they would like to incorporate into their charm. All other materials are provided, including some unusual ones — dried kombucha, dried potato, silkworm cocoons, and other unexpected materials with unique textures and stories.
