The discussion will focus on her book Walking: Chapters from Cultural History (Zagreb, Naklada Ljevak, 2025), as well as on walking as a cultural practice from a historical perspective. Topics will include the emotional and affective dimensions of walking, what walking means in everyday life, and how walking enables the discovery and (re)claiming of the city. The conversation will also explore: the contemplative and healing nature of walking ecstatic walking in community religious and political walking practices walking as an evolutionary and essential human activity As Werner Herzog puts it: “When we walk, everything is immediate and intense.
