The “Chemistry on a Plate!” workshop series combines science, cooking and hands-on research into a unique learning experience. Through experiments and tastings, children develop scientific thinking, curiosity and confidence, while learning how chemistry and physics operate in everyday life — right on the plate. The aim is to encourage scientific reasoning, develop experimental and practical skills, understand physical and chemical processes, and stimulate sensory perception and imagination through the lens of kitchen science and molecular gastronomy. All materials are provided, and each participant will have the opportunity to carry out experiments or recipes individually or in pairs. This programme is designed for children aged 11 and above, and participants attend independently. About the facilitator Petar Čuček is a biologist with over ten years of experience in science education and working with gifted children.
