Restored / Forgotten – A Walk from Tesla to the Skyscraper Guided educational walk Location: From OŠ Nikola Tesla to Rijeka Tower (Riječki neboder) Date and time: Sunday, 12 July, 9:00 AM Organiser: Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art Rijeka Facilitator: Prof. Branko Metzger-Šober Audience: Young people and adults On the occasion of the anniversary of the birth of Croatian painter and printmaker Vilim Svećnjak, an educational walking tour will take place on Sunday, 12 July 2026 at 9:00 AM, led by Professor Branko Metzger-Šober. The walk will take participants from Nikola Tesla Primary School to the Rijeka Skyscraper, introducing them to mural paintings and their historical, artistic and ideological contexts. Through the works of Vilim Svećnjak and Carlo Sbisà, the tour opens up discussions on public art and its role in shaping social and political narratives.
