They are also one of the few foods that naturally contain four of the five basic tastes: sweet, salty, sour, and umami. Join us for a conversation about the remarkable tomato with Marko Gržin, the self-proclaimed Tomato Whisperer, who will reveal the secrets behind cultivating as many as 24 varieties of tomatoes. His distinctive approach combines biodynamics, permaculture, and horticultural practice to produce tomatoes full of character and flavour. And, of course, there will be a tasting session. :) About the speaker Marko Gržin is a biodynamic farmer and owner of the Gržin-Joka family farm in Lovran. He has been practicing biodynamic agriculture for more than ten years, applying its philosophy and methods in his daily work while actively sharing his knowledge through educational workshops, consultations, and public presentations. His approach to farming is rooted in respect for natural cycles, soil health, and the cultivation of food that has character, a story, and exceptional taste.
