Tomato Wednesday Celebrating everyone’s favourite summer fruit! During the summer, we all love tomatoes in every form – fresh tomatoes, tomato salad, salsa, and much more. Since tomatoes are also one of our favourite motifs, it’s time to dedicate the very first Tomato Day in the Benčić Art Quarter to them. Together, we will go through the entire process, from cooking the tomatoes and balancing the flavours to seasoning and reducing the mixture into the perfect ketchup. We will discuss ingredient selection, texture, spices, and ways to achieve that distinctive homemade taste without industrial additives. While the ketchup gently simmers, you will have the opportunity to design your own ketchup bottle label using stickers, markers, and other creative materials, giving your homemade ketchup a personal touch. The workshop is conceived as an open space for cooking, socialising, and exchanging ideas and experiences.
